Before there was a mountain, there was fire.

More than two millennia ago, on the western shores of Kadavu, the earth awakened. The sea churned, the sky darkened, and flames and ash rose from the depths of the land. When the fury subsided, a new giant stood upon the horizon — Nabukelevu, a mountain born from the heart of the earth.

Its story has endured through generations, carried in the memories and voices of the people who witnessed its creation.
